During the day this waterfall remains silent and calm. However, every night the earth shakes and flames shoot into the night sky spewing smoke and fire 100 feet above the waters below, transforming a tranquil waterfall into spectacular streams of molten lava.The volcano at The Mirage has been a Las Vegas signature attraction since the resort opened in 1989, mesmerizing spectators with it thunderous, fiery display. The volcano, situated on three water-covered acres, is 54 feet high and circulates 119,000 gallons of water per minute.The volcano is located in the Mirage's expansive lagoon (which runs from the Strip's Forum Shops entrance all the way down to Treasure Island), filled with waterfalls, sculptures and lush landscaping. You'll find the best spot to watch the volcano erupt is on the Strip side, directly across from the Venetian's Campanile Tower. Arrive about 10 minutes early to get a good view. and you may even be able to "feel" the lava before it is caught by the water below.Shows : Monday - Sunday Every 15 minutes from 7:00 PM - Midnight.
